Public bug reported:
on connecting a microphone - the microphone does not work - Gutsy 7.10 with all
updates installed as of today (1 Nov 2007)
( AMD Athlon 5600+ Dual Core on ASUS M2N21-SLI Deluxe Motherboard with 2 GB
Memory)
the report in the System- Preferences- Sound Devices is on Alsa Sound capture
Test is
"Failed to construct test pipeline for 'gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert !
audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat' "
similar reports for OSS etc
i.e
Failed to construct test pipeline for 'gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert !
audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat'
I have rebooted and no change
NB the Microphone is accepted under other OS on the same computer
Is there any other set-up for the microphone that I am missing out on?
