Public bug reported:

In 17.10 I printed with enscript using the truetype font
"DejaVuSansMono" without any difficulties. (I had set up the
appropriate afm files and edited font.map.)

After upgrading to 18.04 enscript produces output that is garbled, with
incorrect glyphs or squares replacing most of the characters in the
output. Other applications such as libreoffice print using DejaVu fonts
without difficulty. Enscript still works fine with the fonts it came
with as far as my testing shows. So Bookman and the default font both
work. But Liberation (another truetype font) also fails.
