You have been subscribed to a public bug: Affects Ubuntu 17.10-18.04, Gnome, Unity with Wayland or X11.
Simple to reproduce: 1. Press Alt 2. Press Shift 3. Release ONLY Alt (expected - continue text typing using uppercase or shifted special symbols) 4. Try to type text - but nothing happens, input blocked and window unfocused. WTF? Also i tried use ``` setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout ru,us -option grp:lalt_toggle -verbose ``` And it not working as expected: 1. Press Alt 2. Press Shift 3. Release ONLY Alt (expected - continue text typing using uppercase or shifted special symbols) 4. Try to type text. Typed text in lowercase, ignoring Shift. In earlier ubuntu versions ALt+Shift works fine. // For users with same bug // As workaround, i write and use this daemon https://github.com/Azq2/gnome-alt-shift-kbd-layout-switcher ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: alt+shift gnome keyboard layout pain ubuntu -- Alt+Shift for layout switch regression https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1777687 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
