I can confirm I'm having the same problem. This problem arised to me since Debian Jessie. The workaround was to install Nvidia proprietary drivers, but support for nvidia-304xx was dropped on Xorg 1.20. Adding "NvMSI=0 NvPCIE=0" to kernel boot line seems to make crashes less predictable. The only workaround is to boot with "nouveau.noaccel=1" but this make any graphical application unusably slow. Back to Windows.
