Public bug reported:
Subject pretty says it all. Installing vlc also installs liblirc-
client0. This hoses up kernel lirc by not allowing some key codes to be
passed to apps. ir-table -t shows it is working fine. Removing liblirc-
client0 fixes the problem but also removes vlc.
