Hi, nice bug number btw :-)
I currently try to clear dormant bugs.
Looking at your log I see:
mysql_upgrade: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through
socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) while connecting to the MySQL server
That is a known issue that you can find on launchpad, I'll mark your
report as a dup and ask you to read details from there.
In general the issue can be resolved by retrying the upgrade/install.
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1670629
postinst runs mysql_upgrade before server is properly started ( Can't
connect [...] '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock)
