@khurshid-alam, the problem is stuff in main that depends on ayatana, and can't migrate until the archive is self-consistent.
I'm not asking to transition universe to ayatana (it can take all the time needed, if somebody does the work), but rather asking to move ayatana to main and appindicator to universe. The appindicator package is badly maintained in Debian, and has a considerable delta in Ubuntu, while the fork is maintained by the upstream author in Debian, and will allow us to sync lots of packages and ease the downstream maintain work. If they can cohexist, I don't see what is the problem of having appindicator in universe, and ayatana in main, unity can still use it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770146 Title: [MIR] libayatana-appindicator To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libayatana-appindicator/+bug/1770146/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
