I'm sorry, but I'm not on Ubuntu anymore, so I can't really test this myself. But I'm pretty sure the issue doesn't exist anymore, because I do have a couple of friends on Ubuntu who use Firefox with uBlock Origin, and they don't seem to have any such issue.
