The problem has not yet been fixed. I am basically going to install again after removing. If that does not work, I will attempt to provide more detailed information to you about my system configuration. I don't think this is a 'gutsy' issue per se, I had encountered this in Dapper and Feisty using Beryl instead of Compiz. In fact, when I initially started using Beryl and Xgl back in Dapper, this occurred. This had not been happening in Feisty with compiz. The fact that I am seeing it again in Gutsy with compiz-fusion makes me wonder. I'll install again and start stripping and adding packages and will advise. Thanks.
** Description changed: Binary package hint: emacs Default font text in emacs buffers appears garbled and unreadable. This is the case with 21.4a X11 that comes packaged as well as the GTK snapshot version of 22.1.50.1. I have tried this both with desktop effects enabled and disabled. The problem still persists. If I open emacs using -nw in a terminal window I do not see the text quality affected. + + I'd like to also stress that this only happened before running Beryl w/ + Xgl. I never saw this with the old Compiz in Feisty. Now, with compiz- + fusion I am seeing it again. ** Tags added: compiz-fusion -- 7.10 (gutsy) text quality unreadable in GTK emacs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157856 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
