can'tmake swap plus ext partitions. but then idk what i am doing anyway.
originally installed ubuntu from flash drive because hard drive was
replace and no existing OS. wonder if live usb is flawed as i did have a
lot of trouble with this. or is it that 14.04 no longer updated. it was
a faff to make it in the first place.
