Hi, thanks for taking the time to file a bug, however this is more of a local configuration issue. I would highly suggest taking your bug and making a thread on the community forums. That is the best place to get help for questions like this.
>From the log: debconf: DbDriver "config": /var/cache/debconf/config.dat is locked by another process: Resource temporarily unavailable It looks like something is running, like another apt/apt-get process that is blocking the remove. Making sure no other operations are going on, and possibly even rebooting may help. Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as 'Incomplete'. However, if you believe that this is really a bug in Ubuntu, then we would be grateful if you would provide a more complete description of the problem with steps to reproduce, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to "New".
