Public bug reported:

I upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04 (64Bit)
During the upgrade it could not install a package.
But with several attempts of retrying the upgrade before the reboot the system
installed and it can reboot to the GUI.
When trying to login, I read can not start session
I am able to start the cmd line Ctrl-Alt-F3 and I am able to login
when trying to install
sudo apt install gnome-session I get attached error

when trying to install unity
sudo apt install ubuntu-unity-desktop I get the other attached error

I can not login to the GUI with 18.04

Hope you can help quickly
