Public bug reported: After a software upgrade yesterday involving libpam-kwallet4 and libpam- kwallet5, a window with a title "KDE Wallet Service" appears when I choose a VPN channel in knetworkmanager, launch opera, etc. Until yesterday, this did not happen. In addition, when I enter the correct password, the window reappears with a message "Error opening the wallet kdewallet. Please try again. (Error code -9: Read error - possibly incorrect password.) The wallet used to ask for its password only in some situations, probably because it kept passwords in two wallets: one accessible through kwalletmanager, and one invisible, but still working, and containing most passwords.
I understand that KDE wallet is no longer secure, but it still collects my passwords, and there seems to be no other application that can save them automatically. ** Affects: kwalletmanager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1781193 Title: kwallet forgot my password and asks for a password when it did not use to To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kwalletmanager/+bug/1781193/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list firstname.lastname@example.org https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
