I swapped off an existing swap partition in the target drive (but not the zram), and tried like in the previous comments (# 20-21). The error [message] was exactly the same, so we should *not* blame the DVD drive or some unique hardware component or unique UEFI-BIOS system. @Simon, Something goes wrong when trying to install the bootloader in UEFI mode and it does not find a file.
