UPDATE 2018-jul 15 @ 15:20:
1st time installation steps:
18.04 install
- normal installation
- download updates while installing ubuntu
- partition ext4 /boot 4096Mb /format
- partition efi 4096Mb
- partition swap 32768Mb
- partition ext4 / 51199Mb /format
- partition ext4 /home 20479Mb /format
- write changes to disk? >> continue
- where are you >> <user_location>
- Who are you ? >> <user_name>
- during user info >> Installer Crashed
------------------
2nd installation steps, here I changed the order of the swap-partition and
root-partition:
- normal installation
- download updates while installing ubuntu
- partition ext4 /boot 4096Mb /format
- partition efi 4096Mb
- partition ext4 / 51199Mb /format
- partition swap 32768Mb
- partition ext4 /home 20479Mb /format
- write changes to disk? >> continue
- where are you >> <user_location>
- Who are you ? >> <user_name>
- during user info >> Installer Crashed
------------------
3rd attempt:
- in start-up menu I choose the option "check disk for errors". At the end of
this process 1 file was mentioned as "corrupt" ( I don't know which one ). On
my 2nd PC downloaded the 18.04 installer ISO. Re-created a start-up disk on my
2Gb USD-drive. I also tested the USB-drive (got the QMEU box), so it looked
OKAY. Rebooted my AMD Ryzen system with the newly created USB-drive. I repeated
the 2nd installation steps. Ate the point "Who are you", I choose very simple
short user-name and computer-name. And after this the installation worked like
a charm :)
So maybe solution to the problem:???
- new USB-drive installation
- very simple user-information
My AMD-Ryzen is now up and running :)
Thanks!!!
