Ubuntu better.
Unfortunately without steps to reproduce this is going to be difficult
to address.
How are you installing FastCGI? Are you using the libapache2-mod-fcgid
package or something else? Is it possible that the bug is in the FastCGI
module rather than in Apache itself?
Please report details of all relevant packages, versions and
configurations. "apport-collect 1781576" will do this for you. I'm
afraid this report may not be able to make any progress, though, unless
you are able to debug it yourself.
