The crash report suggests I have to upgrade my packages, so I did, but I can't try another install just after the failed attempt because I get:
ubi-partman crashed: ubi-partman failed with exit code 10. Further information may be found in /var/log/syslog. Do you want to try running this step again before continuing? If you do not, your installation may fail entirely or may be broken. Note that it's the 2nd time I get this. Last time I managed to clean my start of install by deleting the unusable ubuntu partition + grub ubuntu entries. I may do this again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1782029 Title: Fatal error: Unable to install GRUB in /dev/sda during Ubuntu 18.04 install (erasing previous incomplete install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub-installer/+bug/1782029/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
