Hibernating and resuming has become less reliable for me with the recent
versions of Edgy, but an exact pattern is hard to establish. Sometimes
the machine doesn't hibernate properly. When it does hibernate, it
usually resumes after the first hibernate after boot but locks up on the
second hibernate after boot. It gets to X and the cursor displays, but
then the screen locks up at that stage.

Also, suspend to RAM isn't reliable either.
