Public bug reported:

Install with all default settings using 7.10 alternate CD on a IBM
Thinkpad T20 machine (I choose Danish keyboard layout but that is
probably not causing the probem)

Installer runs smoothly but first run after install hangs completely:
Black screen, dead keyboard.

Running:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

and choosing VESA driver fixes the problem.
