Public bug reported: When copying certain files under Nautilus a 0 byte file is created and error 'Error splicing file: Input/output error' is reported. It is not clear what sort of drives are affected but it certainly occurs copying to Dropbox and to a USB flash drive (NTFS).
Doing the copy with 'cp' at a terminal works fine. All files tried are normal photos and docs, nothing large.
