It seems from prior comments, that while this system was still being
developed... well it was not clear yet precisely how apps might be using
this folder. What stuff they could be writing in there. So might have
been considered instead from the outset?

The suggestion was already discussed of course...

* To hardcode the apparmour profile loctions to some hidden .dot folder.

While I do think that hardcoded FULL PATH locations are fundamentally
bad, it does seem that most people are just considering purly the
relative path aspect. Without actually understanding how bad this really
is.

Nevertheless, if you guys are going ahead with this, then I would still
like to tack on a little bit extra to that above ^ accepted solution. In
my example I call the hidden folder '~/.snaps'....

Then also:

* Create a standard unix symlink from that hidden folder to 'appear' as
'~/Snaps'. By default.

(that is, if you still honestly believe that in reality, people actually
desperately need to access inside of this folder, as a visible folder.
which i personally don't belive, not anymore, simply because the way the
vast majority of real snaps are doing things now / these days).

* Create a very simple textfile named '~/.snaps/README.txt' (or similar)
inside that folder. To explain to people what to do about this folder.
Because it's non-trivial to grasp.

The README.txt file would present a pretty basic explanation of what
this folder actually is. What is being stored inside it.
