I can confirm this on gutsy final.
What's interesting is that the package does indeed install the file
/usr/share/pixmaps/vkeybd.xpm and the .desktop file specifies this file to be
in /usr/share/pixmaps but the icon is displayed correctly in the GNOME main
menu.
