In my case it's almost surely the group membership issue. I found that online and just rebooted in case there was something else that needed to be brought up properly. Better safe then sorry. At the very least the error message should be better but there should be a way to actually fix this. It's not common to install an app and need to re-login to be able to use it. Makes for quite a strange user experience.
