Public bug reported: Maybe this bug is the same shown in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1731459 ...
I've 2 Canon Lide 100 scanners. Both works well with ubuntu 16.04. Running them on ubuntu 18.04 it first shows a black bar across the scanned page, after some updates (apt-get update) it currently shows white and orange bars. Booting my system with the old installed 16.04 both scanners works well, running 18.04 both scanners show the black/white/orange-bar effect. Reading at bug-report 1731459 that this is fixed in 1.0.27 original, I downloaded the daily-tar-gz from http://www.sane-project.org/snapshots/sane-backends-git20180806.tar.gz, compile and replace the /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane/libsane-genesys.so.1.0.27. Unfortunately it does not work as describe. Removing this lib, simple-scan could not find the scanner, so i think a replaced the right one. This bug is now nearly 9 month old and reported, please Canonical could you fix this ! /chris Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release: 18.04 All Update included since Aug 6. 2018 ** Affects: sane-backends (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1785587 Title: lide100 scanners produce a white/orange band in scanned images on Ubuntu 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1785587/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
