Public bug reported:
Having waited until 08Aug18 to upgrade from 16.04LTS to 18.04LTS I
forced an upgrade. There were a lot of errors which seemed to result
from network interface not working and so no contact with mirror (at
ox.ac.uk). I therefore tried a fresh install from DVD (which I had
already used for installation of 18.04LTS on an old laptop some weeks
ago) This install has also failed.
