** Description changed: + Steps to reproduce: + 1. Install `clex` on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS + 2. Try to launch `clex` + + Expected results: + * `clex` is opened and shows files and directories + + Actual results: + * `clex` does no open, shows message in the terminal: + + ``` + $ clex + + + + Starting CLEX 3.15 + + Terminating CLEX: Cannot read the keyboard input + + ``` + + + + ---- + The CLEX 3.15 package has worked well for many years, but in 16.04 it fails. CLEX 3.15 reached end-of-life in May 2011, but there is no Ubuntu package for the current CLEX release, 4.6. The CLEX author has posted a workaround at http://www.clex.sk/, though he believes the problem is not in CLEX but in ncurses. CLEX author will investigate with ncurses developers, but shouldn't there be a new Ubuntu package for the current CLEX release? ** Tags added: apport-collected -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1593688 Title: clex 3.15 fails in Ubuntu 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clex/+bug/1593688/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
