+
+
+
+ ----
+
The CLEX 3.15 package has worked well for many years, but in 16.04 it
  fails.

CLEX 3.15 reached end-of-life in May 2011, but there is no Ubuntu
package for the current CLEX release, 4.6.

The CLEX author has posted a workaround at http://www.clex.sk/, though
he believes the problem is not in CLEX but in ncurses.

CLEX author will investigate with ncurses developers, but shouldn't
there be a new Ubuntu package for the current CLEX release?
