Just tried Ubuntu 18.04.1 LiveCD. LiveCD starts applications can be
executed.

However, after installation of 18.04.1 just the graphical login screen
was displayed. I can enter user and password but after pressing enter
the login screen always is displayed again and again.

But I could login by terminal (ALT-CTL-F2). So I performed apt-get install
nvidia-384.
The command replaced the installed the nouveau driver and installed the nvidia
390-48 driver.

Now I can login on graphical login screen without problems.
