1-Make an iso of a brand new Xubuntu 18.04 with Pinguy Builder 5.1.7
2-Install it (it uses Ubiquity 18.04.14.6)

The behavior you expected.
Installation completed :)


The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
It was just written installation crashed (in french "plantage de 
l'installation"). Did not have a lot of info, just "ubiquity: mkdir: cannot 
create directory '/target/var': Permission denied"
