For the discussion of "safe" defaults the closing of open connections is just
as unsafe.
You lost 1M$ because your transaction was lost on this reload.
Really a discussion to be had upstream as I said back then.
I want to mark this accordingly as incomplete as IMHO this isn't actionable by
Ubuntu without upstream consensus on a changed default.
