sata_via does not recognize sata ports going up or down.

Controller is a
00:0f.0 RAID bus controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VIA VT6420 SATA RAID 
Controller (rev 80)

Steps to reproduce:
Boot up computer with no esata Enclosure connected.
Connect eSata enclosure -> nothing happens no kernel message (dmesg) at all

When reloading the module (rmmod sata_via && modprobe sata_via) the
drive is detected:

I'm pretty sure that hotpluging should work with this controller and
sata_via.
