Thank you for checking in. I have since convinced myself that the freezing of keyboard and mouse at the Yahoo! News website had more to do with javascript and advertising and tracking downloads. I now block as many of those advertisers and trackers as I can.
You can close the bug report. I was not fully aware at the time I reported it that javascript, ads, and trackers, could have an impact. The freezing of keyboard and mouse probably mean that the browser has not fully processed all the downloads called for by the web site.
