Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
The Ubuntu Gutsy package had a patch added to set dsp->oss_format prior to
use in alsa/pcm.c::oss_dsp_hw_params(). This is now in the new upstream release
which Debian now has.
