So I did the following: - installed Fiesty - Updaed from the internet - Upgraded to Gutsy from the cd while running fiesty And same problem, hangs up after the initial loading splash finishes
- Ran it in Alt+F1 and saw that it hangs at CUPS loader - Went through recovery mode - Ran "sudo gdm" and the login screen came up and I logged in\ - Error "failed to initialize HAL" - Ran synaptic and tried to reinstall hal and all the other hal related in the list.
