Public bug reported: Hey It seems like in the latest hwe-kernel for xenial (4.15.0-33.36~16.04.1) the kernel patch at https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/912090/ ([net] packet: in packet_snd start writing at link layer allocation) got included, which broke packet behaviour, causing extra bytes to be added to the end of packets.
This seems to be fixed in: http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/920126/ ([net] packet: fix reserve calculation) but this did not get included in this package version. Can we please have an updated package with this fix included?
