After checking a little in my custom options in my home, I think I
finally found the cause of the problem.

I have a .Xkbmap file with the following content:

-option altwin:meta_win

I had to use this option because in the older versions of Ubuntu my Win
key on my keyboard didn't work for some reasons, and I had to use this
option to make it functional.

I removed the file and after a logout and login, the keyboard now works
properly. I tested this by putting the file back and logging out and in
again, and the keyboard didn't work. So I'm positive this options was
the cause of the bug.

(It also seems that by removing that option the Win key still works
fine, which is excellent)
