You seem to have a bunch of packages installed from Debian and I believe that is causing the failure to upgrade to the new release of Ubuntu.
>From your VarLogDistUpgradeAptclonesystemstate.tar.gz file we can see: 1 # 2 deb http://deb.debian.org/debian stretch main contrib and 1 accountsservice 0.6.43-1 Debian 2 acl 2.2.52-3+b1 Debian 3 acpi-support-base 0.142-8 Debian 4 acpid 1:2.0.28-1+b1 Debian 5 adduser 3.115 Debian 6 .... You'll need to somehow downgrade to official Ubuntu versions of the packages which you've installed from Debian for the release upgrader to be able to calculate an upgrade path. ** Changed in: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1790483 Title: do-release-upgrade fails to upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1790483/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
