This is due to a conflict with steam-launcher which is not part of the
Ubuntu repository. Please remove this package and try again. If you have
problems installing Steam from the upstream debian package please report
a bug on upstream's bug tracker (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-
for-linux)
I'm closing this report because it is not a bug with Ubuntu, but do not
hesitate to submit any bug you may find.
