Hi,
could you try to reproduce with the following changes
1. make sure you're using the Human theme (System->Preferences->Appearance)
2. turn off the the visual effects (System->Preferences->Appearance)
3. start firefox after having entered the following in a console : export
MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=1
