I tried to recreate this but was unable to do so. Here are the steps I took on 18.04: sudo apt install nova-compute apt policy # https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/4QTrxBrJXh/ sudo add-apt-repository cloud-archive:rocky sudo apt update sudo apt install nova-compute # sudo apt dist-upgrade also works apt policy # https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/ghwkMSJCx9/ Please let me know if there are different steps to be taken to reproduce this.
