debug2: key_type_from_name: unknown key type '-----BEGIN'
debug2: key_type_from_name: unknown key type '-----END'

Those are from Putty's keygen. They're harmless on every OS (Dapper,
Solaris, Suse, HP/UX, AIX, and even VMS) and every version of OpenSSH.

But yes, I have tried without the keys (mv .ssh .ssh.save) and it hangs.

This is either an OpenSSL, LibC or kernel problem, because building
Dapper's OpenSSH (4.3p2) on Gutsy changes nothing.

It's a weird bug.

I opened a new ticket on this since it's so obvious that it's not an SSH
bug.
