I think I have exactly the same problem here. I upgraded to Gutsy on last
Sunday, and quite soon the problem started. It mainly happens to me in Firefox,
but sometimes also in other programs. (I have the feeling that the problem
appears more frequently in applications which have a high CPU usage, such as
Firefox...) Once it even happend in the task switch dialog (alt+tab).
It's really annoying, and I hate deactivating key repeat (though I'll try it
now, as the bug is even more annoying).

I'm also using a standard setup (with gnome).
