Thom, look at the output of ddcprobe, and if you see your laptop monitor
ID matched by one of the items updated in this bug, then yes.
We currently ship this data both in hwdata (which is apparently not a
dependency for anything, but should be updated anyway), and kde-guidance
(which displayconfig-gtk uses). I'll upload and SRU a package for the
latter hopefully soon (presently swamped with UDS/All-Hands stuff).
