I've had some intermittent Wi-Fi issues after upgrading to 18.10. I started with the 16.04 installed from Dell, then did the upgrade to 18.04 and then 18.10. Since going to 18.10 (which comes with the new Gnome Shell) I've had issues with WiFi basically become unresponsive after periods of time. I can try and disable WiFi but even the Gnome Shell controls for it get confused on the status of the device.
I'm currently running with the Bluetooth disabled in the bios in order to see if it resolves the WiFi issues.
