Unfortunately in the current design uvtool has no knowledge to be able
to fetch the appropriate image. It's expected that the user will fetch
and select the required image correctly using the appropriate
simplestreams filters, and there's not really any mechanism for uvtool
to be able to affect this selection at all.

I think that was related to the libvirt domain definition for which
Christian added code to default to different templates depending on host
architecture. But this bug sounds like it's about default image
selection.
I currently have no plans to change the (lack of) image selection in
uvtool. If you have any idea on how to fix this elegantly, I'd be happy
to consider it.
