Public bug reported:
Sometimes when I first log in, certain items are duplicated in the
panel. For instance, I just logged in, and indicator multiload and
network manager applet are both duplicated in these panel items:
Indicator Plugin
Status Notifier Plugin

Here's my workaround:
1. Right-click panel > Panel > Panel Preferences > Items > Indicator
Plugin > Settings > check Hidden next to Application Indicators > Close
> Close
2. xfce4-panel -r
