Just wanted to opt in as I'm also affected. I'm running Lubuntu 18.04.1
on a Lenovo Thinkpad X250 in a 2 monitor setup.

I tried, like Janus mentioned, to install pcmanfm 1.3.0 from the deb file
provided.
My LibFM version is unchanged at 1.2.5.

Sadly I have to report that just updating pcmanfm does not solve my
crashing problem. (but it seems like it does not happen as often as with
version 1.2.5, but this is not confirmed)

The crash itself happens very randomly. Sometimes if I try to open a folder or
a document, and sometimes just by selecting files. It seems to never crash if I
just leave a pcmanfm window open.
If it crashes it will just freeze or "close" instantly. Sometimes I see a
"Sorry Ubuntu has experienced an internal error ...." message.
If I than try to see the details of the error message -> the message closes
instantly so the message window itself crashes also.

Today I will try to use the Nautilus file manager. Version 3.26.4 from
the official repository.

I will reply after I can confirm if Nautilus crashes too or not.

Any help is very much appreciated as my system is currently used for
work. Crashes during file operation is very dangerous. Considering
switching to another flavor of Ubuntu.

Best regards,
Patrick
