The post by "supermarron" above seems to have worked for me:

For me worked change the file
"/etc/apt/sources.list.d/prerequists-sources.list" and change the server that
wasn't responding to another one,
from:
http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-backports main/debian-installer
to
http://en.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-backports main/debian-installer
With that no more problem, but now I don't have a local server in
mysources.list.

I also happen to be in Spain as "SuperBrown" :-) is (note 'es.' in source list
url) and so maybe there's a problem with that - although I tried 'main' and
'us' many times already.
