Same problem here, display freezes if I move the mouse over the position bar in full screen VLC. The sound keeps on playing. Although closing the lid of my laptop so that it suspend itself, and then resuming makes it unfreeze. Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, VLC 3.0.3 Vetinari (3.0.3-1-0-gc2bb759264), GNOME 3.28.2
