We have now established the original bug here was caused by LP-PPA-
oibaf-graphics-drivers, so not a bug in Ubuntu itself. That makes this
bug report 'Invalid'.
The next problem you encountered is bug 1727356. Only older Intel CPUs
(Core2 or older) will have a problem with that. It is now fixed in
Ubuntu Updates but the fix won't be included in the ISO until version
18.04.2.
The remaining issues should be discussed in new bug reports. Please
remember to keep each bug report about one issue only.
