The option is enabled in Fedora and their feedback seems good so far, we
would like to get that one enabled in Ubuntu as well

CONFIG_SND_HDA_POWER_SAVE_DEFAULT=1

(can be disabled at boot using snd_hda_intel.power_save=0 and there is a
